Doug Dalton and his whole family welcomed a large crowd with Mgr Dennis Eastin presenting a strong set of performance tested bulls developed on a high forage diet. After 15 years of are marketing bulls through area bull sales, the Dalton Family christened there new, on farm bull sale facility with a high profile EPD set of bulls to an active crowd. Outside, Cold and windy was the weather of the day with the sale held in the new and comfortable sale facility.

Top Bulls:

Lot 1 – Daltons Protégé 97, a 1/24/09, top $B and calving ease son of GAR-EGL Protégé dam one of the top donor females at Daltons Baldridge Rita R138 to Morgan Angus of GA for $9,500.

Lot 21 – Daltons Protégé 831, a 12/26/08, high gaining son of GAR-EGL Protégé dam Daltons Belle Rose 6268 to Mirapaso Farms of WV for $5,500

Lot 19 – Daltons Protégé 823, a 11/20/08, high weaning and yearling weight son of GAR-EGL Protégé dam Daltons Belle Rose 6268 to Charlie Horne of NC for $4,000.

Lot 20 – Daltons Protégé 829, a 12/10/08 son of GAR-EGL Protégé dam Daltons Belle Rose 6268 to George Stovall of VA for $3,250.

Lot 9 – Daltons Mile High 933, a 2/4/09 son of Riverbend Mile High 3718 dam Baldridge Rita R138 to Greg Huffine of NC for $3,000.

Once again the Bases Loaded held at Coors Field in Downtown Denver highlighted some of the elite programs in the entire Angus breed. This year’s sale was the one of the strongest with herd bulls and females offered. Bases Loaded continues to be one of the leading sales during the National Western Stock Show.

Lot 2- Dameron First Class the Triple Crown winning National Champion bull sold ½ Semen interest to First Class syndicate of Blue Stone Farm, Frank Brumfield, Cedar Creek Farm, Chapman Angus Ranch, Gamble Angus, KCS Stock Farms, Kennedy Farms, Locust Hill Farms, McCurry Bros, R&W Cattle, Saucer 5 Farms, Seldom Rest, Sonrise Ranch, Spruce Mountain, Sterling Hunter, David Temple, Diamond B for $102,000.

Lot 30- Silveiras Style a powerful son of Gambles Hot Rod out of Silveiras Elba 2520 sold to the Style syndicate of Rick Schutz, Gohr Angus, Bud McArron, Triangle T, Traynam Ranch, Sand Ben Stock Farm, Schemer Angus, James Bright, Leo Brothers, Ray Mar, Bouma Cattle, Don Dunnigan and Cattle Vision for $101,000.

Lot 31- Sooline Kodiak 9016 a January son of HF Kodiak sold ½ interest to Shady Brook Farms, Wiwa Creek Angus, Geoff Anderson, Thomason Angus, Nordal Angus, LLB Angus for $55,000.

Top Selling Females:

Lot 1- The famous dam of Objective sold ½ interest to MJB Ranch of Texas for $60,000.

Lot 32 & 32A- This full sister to Bextor along with an ET daughter sired by Belvins Raindance sold ½ interest in lot 32 to Monarch Farms of Louisiana and lot 32A to Evans Farms of Texas for $10,000.

Lot 12A & C- A heifer calf pregnancy sired by the bull of the buyer’s choice along with a March and April heifers sired by Roundup and Raven sold lot 12A to Sandpoint Cattle Company of Nebraska for $20,000 and lot 12C to Maple Lane of Indiana for $18,000.

Lot 33- A heifer calf pregnancy sired by Bismarck out of a Predestined x 614 daughter sold to Rock River Ranch of Illinois for $20,000.

Lot 39- This impressive show heifer prospect sired by MCC Daybreak sold to Mark Holder of Oklahoma for $20,000.

Lot 40- A heifer calf pregnancy sired by Lookout out of Greens Princess 1021 sold to Saucer 5 Ranch of Oklahoma for $18,250.

Lot 20- This future donor sired by Onward out of an Bushwacker x 2536 daughter sold to Spruce Mountain Ranch of Colorado for $18,000.

Lot19- A heifer calf pregnancy sired by 6EM3 out of the full sister to Sitz Upward sold to Rock River Ranch of Illinois for $15,000.

Lot 27- This heifer calf pregnancy sired by Upward out of 1I97 sold to A Cross Ranch of Oklahoma for $16,000.

Lot A- A donation heifer with proceeds going to the 2010 National Junior Heifer Show held in July in Denver donated by Gardiner Angus Ranch sold a bred heifer sired by Predestined out of GAR Objective 2345 sold to Grand Bayou Farms of Louisiana for $25,500.

Lot B- A heifer calf pregnancy sired by Predestined out of Riverbend Lady S806 donated by Riverbend Ranch for the 2010 National Junior Heifer Show sold to Pollard Farms of Oklahoma for $4,250.
